Atheists: Assuming ‘God’ is just an abbreviated word for ‘good’…?
If you take it that God = good, then reading in context what is the meaning of a ‘typical’ bible verse such as:
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
If we take God as being good, then all this is stating is that if you accept good, and dedicate yourself to good and abstain from wickedness and bad, then you will have good and be happy.
The key phrase being ‘turn from their wicked ways’. It is a misconception that atheists do not have morals, so if we all believe in trying to be good, why are we arguing?
And do you still have something against this particular bible verse? Remember, the assumption of the question is that God is synonymous with good, so if you answer God doesn’t exist you are just saying there is no such thing as good.
I suppose the name of “good” is “Jealous”, then.
And I suppose that Zeus was ‘good’, as well as Hades and aught else.
And “good” must have created the planet in 6 days.
And “good” is vengeful.
No, I will never want ‘good’ to be these things.

There is not much I can say which is not already written in the Holy Bible. But there is one thing which I must explain, Lord means master, Jesus is Lord, just like God is Lord. David said, the Lord said to my Lord, which literally means God spoke to Jesus and both he called Lord. But Jesus was never mentioned to in the bible as God, although his name means Mighty God. Jesus means Mighty God. Yet the man who had this name did not claim to be God. He always referred to God as his Father, thereby fulfilling himself as the begotten Son of the Living God. So God is only one not three. Here I present to you that God is One and the Bible says so. Jesus is the begotten Son of God because he was born of the Holy Spirit and a human mother Mary. No man was with Mary when she conceived Jesus therefore, he was known as the Begotten Son of the Living God and that is his title. Jesus is also called the Holy One, which means he is born of the Holy Spirit directly with a woman and not of a human father. My definition of God is that he is the alpha and the omega, he existed before all creation and he is the source of life the first source and the final authority who decides on all decisions and judgment in the universe.
That is why Jesus said no man knows the time and the hour except God, not even the Son, which is himself. If Jesus is God, he wouldn’t say he don’t know the time and the hour since God can not say he doesn’t know a thing, else he can not be God.
If we do not believe in the bible and start to twist facts then the so called protestant world is again falling into error, the error of adding to the Bible what is not supposed to be. Jesus is the first born of God’s sons; that is why he did not die but was raise physically into the heavens. Jesus is the first son of the resurrection of the Dead. When Jesus asked his disciples who he is, only Simon (Peter) knew he is the Son of the Living God. If Jesus is the Son, how could he be the Father, God is the Father? So God gave Jesus the right to rule like him when his kingdom comes again, Joseph is symbolic of Jesus. During the time of Egypt, Joseph was given the name Zaphenath-Paneah which means savior; while the Pharaoh is symbolic of God the Father. Scripture can not contradict itself, else the story of Genesis is wrong since if we believe Jesus is the Father, then, Joseph must be the Pharaoh. Now when you pray and if you call on Jesus, you are really calling on God the Father as Jesus means Mighty God, which is in fact the name of God given to the man born by Mary. Yet the man called Jesus and God is two different beings not one. So in the heavens you will see Jesus seated at the right hand of God who is the Father. Jesus himself called the Lord our God, if Jesus is the Father God why would he say the Lord our God. God has a son now and he is called Jesus who will inherit what he originally intended for mankind to have, eternal life but God has to wait for the manifestations of his sons to be completed before the resurrection of the dead can take place, all his chosen sons since the world begun. In the kingdom of God, the first born son always has the birth rights to inherit the Father’s wealth and possessions. And that King to come is Jesus Christ.

We must always seek the Truth and not just because statements are repeated many times to us that we began to believe in them as false facts. Not all things are what they intend to be and some misconstrued ideas can become truth when in fact it is not. Only by the Holy Spirit can all Truth be revealed and not all have the Holy Spirit. Let God tell us this truth by his own words which I have presented to you all. Is Jesus the Son of God? Matthew 3:17 could be used by some Christians to support the divine Sonship of Jesus. If Matthew 3:17, “And Lo a voice for heaven, saying, this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased,” is used to support divine Sonship, then there should be no other verse that contradicts or gives equal divine Sonship to another person or persons in the Old or New Testament. However, many references were found in the Old and New Testaments that mentioned someone other than Jesus as having a divine Sonship to God. See Exodus 4:22:
