Will a Collection Agency (Interstate Collections) ruin my credit for an newspaper unpaid subscription?
I thought that not paying for a newspaper subscription would automatically end deliveries, but the san francisco chronicle continued delivering and then billed me through a collection agency for $24. Does this at all affect my credit history or score?
Any suggestions with what to do?
I called the newspaper and they told me they already canceled my account. They billed me for $24 of newspapers delivered after my first subscription ended. They said they would contact the collection agency to say that i paid.
What should I do next? Call the collection agency?
How badly does this affect my score?
a similar thing happened to me, except the chronicle never delivered any papers and I called several times to complain. I got the collections notice and called interstate collections and they said they would take care of it. Do I need to do any kind of follow-up in writing? I forgot to ask their name.

Can someone check if I’m right about these Prices?
Here’s the deal: I got $130 cash from my party and I’m gonna get either a new or used CoD 4 and me and my brother 3 month gold subscriptions. The idea here is that I checked trade in values at gamestop (see source) and i think I can help out paying CoD 4. I got a 20% off coupon from gamestop (online) and, if i’m right, will get a used CoD 4 to $40 (took 20% off then added tax). I’m thinking of trading in some old games so I could still have a lot of money left over. If I’m right, it should be:

Ok, now the question itself is if someone can tell me if these prices are still correct. I’m not sure if the prices on the website is still right, but that’s why I’m asking if they are right. Also, I have an edge card.

They’d probably give you 5 dollars for Mario Party and 10 dollars for Melee. Seeing how Umbrella Chronicles isn’t too old, I can understand the pricing.
