Why are people against the Chronicles of Narnia books?
I understand those who are against Harry Potter (do not agree, but understood), I do not understand those who are against the Chronicles of Narnia, the witch, the magic is evil, so there is no conflict. And although the book refers to the Bible, and the events there, so do all the books based on the hero cycle. CS Lewis was a Christian. I really do not understand. Please do not respond with some "Christians are stupid and want to ban all" or the other ignorant response. I am a Christian.
I am equally puzzled by this. The books are surprisingly well written for the children's series. But I think the idea of a "land of fantasy, magic, talking and other fantastic creatures are simply not attractive. Without But some people who bothered to read until the end of the series, may have been set off by the double shock that unsetlleing final turn (to say the least) to the story of a child.
