Its up in the air if the rest of the books will be made into the movies. They had funding problems trying to do the 3rd movie.
However for now, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair is slated to come out in 2011.

Is it necessary to read The Vampire Chronicles in order?
I was planning on starting with, Interview with the Vampire, but then I saw, The Vampire Armand, and it caught my eye. Sadly, it’s the sixth book in the series. So would it be necessary to start at the beginning? Or could I start with, The Vampire Armand, without be completely lost in the series?
You should, at the very least, read the first three books of the series in order. After that, up to Merrick (where the VC merges with the lives of the Mayfair Witches series), you can pretty much read in any order. The last two books, “Blackwood Farm” and “Blood Canticle”, should be read in order as well.
I also recommend reading “Blood and Gold”, “The Vampire Armand” and “Pandora” (this book belongs to New Tales of the Vampires, not the Vampire Chronicles) together. The reason is that the lives of Marius (Blood and Gold), Armand (The Vampire Armand) and Pandora (Pandora) are intertwined.
The only thing you will miss is the background involving Lestat if you read The Vampire Armand first. He’s there, but hes’ not a central character. I’d say go ahead and read it, but if you don’t understand something, try to get the first three stories and Memnoch the Devil, read them, and then continue with the remainder of the series.
