OK, when I read the seven books of Chronicle of Narnia, which order should I read them in?

Chronological or published? I’ve been told that this the actual order they were published in:
The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe;
Prince Caspian;
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader;
The Silver Chair;
The Horse and his Boy;
The Magician’s Nephew; and
The Last Battle.

But that “The Horse and his Boy” and “The Magician’s Nephew” consist of events prior to the first two books. So, in order for it to make sense, should I read them out of order? Thanks!

The order C.S Lewis intended them to be read in was:
The Magician’s Nephew
The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe
The Horse and his Boy
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Last Battle
If you read the back of the all-in-one-book set thingy, then it tells you the order he wanted them to be read in, regardless of the publishing date
