I know a man that can lead to Narnia.
Well, not really Narnia, but the same place in England where he was born in the mind of Narnia by CS Lewis, author of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," which was recently released as a major movement Picutre Disney, and the Chronicles of the entire Narnia series.
His name is Ron Brind was a childhood friend of Lewis' stepson Douglas Gresham and a frequent visitor to Lewis's house in Oxfordshire years old in 1950.
This visit is wonderful place in Oxfordshire, England, and visits to places of interest including the former home of Lewis 'ovens' and beautiful Trinity Church, Oxford, which was the final resting place of Lewis.
The Duration of the Tour, which is approximately 3 hours and starts from outside the Randolph Hotel in Beaumont Street, Oxford, who is known for its connections with Colin Dexter, who wrote the famous Inspector Morse novels, and often went Randolph. En route you will see the remains of the old "wall", Magdalen College, Longwall Street where Lewis was elected in 1925, Magdalen Bridge, where the famous Oxford May celebrations Day take place, and at Magdalen College School, which was attended by Doug.
You will be taken through Headington to see one of the old houses of JRR Tolkien and the oven, the former home of Lewis, who was acquired in October 1930 jointly by Ms. Moore, and Major Jack Lewis. Coming out of the ovens, the tour passes through a local watering hole used by Jack and Warnie and travels to Holy Trinity Church in Headington Quarry, where the preacher Mr. Tom honey, subject to commitments, we let you see inside this beautiful building. Outside in the churchyard, you will see the tomb of CS Lewis and Mrs. Janie King Moore, mother of the writer close friend Paddy Moore.
You will also see the entrance to the Mayfair Suite in the old Wingfield Hospital, Nuffield Orthopedic Center today, where Jack and Joy marriage was blessed in a ceremony at night December 1956, because his death was thought to be imminent. The penultimate stop is Oxford Crematorium to see the commemorative plaque to Joy Gresham in the cloister 2 and if you want to know exactly where they were scattered the ashes of Joy.
The tour finishes in the Eagle and Child pub in Oxford via St Giles superb. This famous watering hole was used regularly by Lewis and his circle of friends and literary intellectuals known as "The Inklings". It is here that you are presented with a personalized certificate of recording his visit to 'ovens' – a souvenir of your trip and a reminder that the legacy of Lewis on.
So although he can not take as far as Narnia, which can lead to the same places where Narnia was conceived and born. And if you've seen the Disney movie entitled "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" is likely that you would like to see where and how Narnia was born.
